Alyssa and Amy of EastCoastClad.com are back again giving us the scoop on how to dress in college. In their last college fashion feature, they shared tips on dressing for class and for a night out. Since they work hard and play hard, they are also spending loads of time at the library and tailgating, looking just as fashionable. Here's how: When you get to college there is one place in particular that you need to become well accustomed to. That place is the library; it becomes your best friend, biggest resource, and quiet haven to get away to when you have to study for a big exam. I love going to the library to catch up on some reading in a comfortable love seat. No one cares what you look like at the library. But, that does not mean you should just show up in sweats. You should still look presentable, because you never know whom you will run into. There are many things that you need to keep in mind while putting together your outfit.
- First, comfort is the key to focusing on your work.
- Second, libraries usually are more on the cold side (like movie theatres...brrr).
- Third, nothing fancy you are there to learn not pick up a date.
- Finally, going along with my cardinal rule—wear something that you would not mind running into someone special in.

This outfit is perfect for studying in the library for long hours. You want to be comfortable and be able to focus on your work, not on your jeans that are too tight and cutting off circulation. I chose a pair of leggings that are easy to move around in and great for comfort. I love the oversized love seats tucked away in corners, so you need something to be able to lounge in. Then, I threw on a simple sweater and oversized knit scarf for warmth.
I kept my accessories to a minimum with just my scarf, watch, and brooch. The brooch gave my outfit the little flair it needed. You don’t need much, but you always need that little something. Makeup is something else that you just need the bare minimum. For example, foundation, a touch of blush, mascara and you’re good. Next, get that hair out of your face and up into a chic sock bun. For my shoes I went with my favorite pair of riding boots. They are comfortable and appropriate, just add some knit knee socks for that fall look and you are done! Remember these few tips for the next time you are heading to the library, and you will be just fine.

Football season is one of the best things about going to college. School spirit, the fall weather and an abundance of food at tailgates all contribute to making football games fun and festive. The most important part of attending football games is how you dress. While in the South they wear dresses and fancier clothes, at most schools the attire is more casual. For my home games, I choose to wear school colors rather than wearing a school mascot T-shirt. My red jeans, white T-shirt and yellow necklace are stylish yet show my school pride. Whether or not you decide to rock a school T-shirt, be sure to dress up your look with a fun necklace or a headband to stand out amongst the sea of students in their festive gear.
When chilly fall games come around, be sure to bundle up! Definitely invest in some school spirited gloves and hats, to be sure to keep warm. Football games are something you don’t want to miss because you’re too cold. Bundle up and get ready to cheer your heart out! Go team!
