Call me a Southerner, but I turn into a three-year old every time it snows, especially when it's the first snow of the season. There is something so magical about snow, especially when your entire neighborhood is covered in a white powdery blanket. We recently had our first huge snowfall and I was overly excited when I realized that it was enough snow to go sledding, build a snowman, or make snow angels. I immediately did the first two and maybe do the third before the year's over!
But why, oh why, does it have to drop to the most freezing day of the year for me to feel such a pull to go outside and explore, and the urge to wander around and take pictures? I bundled up in my new quilted jacket from Old Navy {a holiday gift}. It's a cross between my Dad's waxed hunting jacket and my mom's quilted Barbour… and it's lightweight, priced right, non-bulky, and warm enough to keep me cozy on a stroll through my neighborhood. And I bet you can't even tell it's from the men's section! Does the first snowfall make you feel as giddy as me?
