Chloe and I discussed our affinity for skinny jeans in our video, in particular how we share this pair from the Gap. I chose the tunic, because it's effortless, comfortable, there was a bit of a chill in the air, and the pattern adds a bit of interest to simple outfit. The "wow" in this outfit comes from the shoes. Because I can walk in them. They are a little high for me, so I'm surprised I don't just topple over - must have something to do with the Birkenstock-like insoles that conform to my feet. And it seems that I am not the only one who thinks these shoes are killer, as in looks - not feel. Walking to brunch, Chloe and I received some attention from a passing car. Based on my last incident, I completely ignored the shouts, best I could. Chloe was still locking up the car and was oblivious, but when she headed over, we soon couldn't ignore the calls from the guy hanging out of the car desperate for our attention.
We finally realized he was yelling, "Nice shoes."
What, not possible! Random guys don't notice things like... shoes.
"Hey, did you hear me? Love the shoes!"
Wait, he really did say shoes. And, heck, I agree. "Thanks, yeah, I do too!"
"Someone needs to take your picture!" and he and his friend sped off.
Chloe and I just giggled (hey, I'm not too old to giggle) and continued on our merry way. We smiled at each other, happy to know that guys yelling from cars are not always being crude, they just might be appreciating a killer pair of shoes, and knowing that our pictures would indeed be taken, if only by each other.
