Sharks know best

Chloe Gordon1 Comment

I'll be the first to admit it, I'm a Shark Tank addict. I've watched every single episode since day 1 of the show and am always looking forward to seeing the products and learning about entrepreneurship. I've bought a couple of products, but tune in weekly to find great new companies and ideas. One of the very first ideas that caught my attention was Drop Stop. it immediately had me saying, "Why didn't I think of that?!" But I didn't and they did and it's perfect. So let me know tell you all about it.

Drop Stop is a simple concept that is a seat gap filler for your car. You know the gap as where all your spare change and french fries disappear. The Drop Stop does exactly what it says: it stops anything from dropping in the gap. It's a neoprene tube with a cutout for your seat belt and takes less than a minute to install.

At first when I was installing mine, I didn't think it would fit. But I rotated my seat belt latch up a bit and it fit like a charm.

Besides catching dropped food and change, I also think this is a good idea to put in my kids' car so they aren't digging for something that dropped while driving. In fact, Oprah and AAA have endorsed Drop Stop to declutter your car and drive safely. Drive safe and check out the Drop Stop.

20/20 vision

FASHIONChloe Gordon2 Comments

When I was in second grade all I wanted was a pair of glasses and set of braces.

Unfortunately — at least seemingly at the time — I had 20/20 vision and perfectly straight teeth. Life was rough. I was jealous of all the “cool” fourth graders who had the killer combo of glasses and braces.

But, as my mom always said, “be careful what you wish for.”

While I never had braces, this year, my vision started failing me. I couldn’t see the board and I was constantly squinting and struggling to figure out what things said. It was terrible.

But I finally was able to live my second grade dream of accessorizing with a pair of stellar glasses.
My vision might not be 20/20 but my glasses sure are, am I right? Thanks Warby Parker, you’re the bomb.

a letter to my best friend

Dear my best friend,

First of all, I hope you’re having a wonderful day. You deserve it.

Actually, you deserve everything your sweet little heart desires. Sometimes I wish I could just shake you by the shoulders until you realized how darn perfect you are. Seriously. I know you don’t see what I see: your smile that warms every room you walk into, your cute giggle that I adore, and your jokes that no one else really gets.

I’m so lucky to call you my best friend, and I honestly don’t know what I’d do without you. You are seriously the most genuine person I’ve met, and here is no one else I’d rather share my deepest darkest secrets with. I know you always listen attentively and your advice is unrivaled.

We’ve shared some amazing moments so far (filled with both laughter and tears), but I know that the future holds many more of these special moments and adventures.

Love you to pieces.
