Simple

I go through phases in how I dress, typically revolving around where we live, where I work, and how I’m feeling that day. But overall, I’ve always tended to be drawn towards clothes that are simple and accessories that are bold. I’ve always said I like classic with a twist. I’m not sure if that twist is fun, trendy or what. But it just needs to have some interest! I didn’t realize when I threw this outfit on, but it pretty much sums up my look on most days.

Although I was surprised at how many of you responded to our favorite tees post by saying you don’t wear tees (I’d love a peek in your closets!) mine is comprised of tees in black, whites and greys of varying fits for just about any outfit.

I’ve had these booties for ages. Rag & Bone started right here in Kentucky & is now a fashion darling & the type of brand you’ll have forever. My booties may have been expensive, but they are still for sale, umpteen seasons later. If you’re looking for a perennial, yet newish, brand, this is it. And Goyard (my handbag) has been around since 1792. I’d say it’s timeless.

Jeans are the swiss army knife of my wardrobe. For the lifestyle I lead right now, they can be worn almost anywhere, any day in heels to snow boots. I’d like to check out some new brands… any suggestions?

I can’t wait to wear my white trousers again, our current weather certainly allows it.
Love all the arm candy, accessories and the red colour dash with your look!

I love that simple look. That’s pretty much how I’d dress up to make myself comfortable everyday. :)

I had no idea Rag and Bone started in Kentucky; how cool!
I think jeans are the Swiss Army knife of many a Southern woman’s wardrobe. I love a white jean, too, and you’ve styled yours perfectly. You always look so put-together without looking contrived. I hope you know I’m taking notes ;-)

Love your bracelets and the way you styled the white denim…I also did not know they started in Kentucky…I love a little fashion history!

Simple, but perfect! The red accents, that great belt and those boots (!) take your black and white outfit into a new realm.

This is a great outfit Kim! I like this interesting bag with your basics. Cool boots, different and interesting in design. The red lips and jewelry finish the look beautifully. Lovely necklace. I’m big on the basic house brand of jeans from Macy’s. Not expensive, but fit well and in a lot of colors. Honestly I haven’t ventured into the expensive jeans.

I love the outfit. I like simple too…the accessories can make the outfit. I love the bracelets and the belt!

Your little Goyard is so cute and of course not to mention the R&B booties. I too actually wear simpler clothes, sometimes too simple that I force myself to add something more like a jacket or vest or at least a scarf. But simplicity is best and closer to classic and my dear you are rocking this look!

I am totally ready to start wearing white again…not that I stopped…I wore a few white jackets over the winter….but I am ready for a little sun (not too much…I don’t want wrinkles!) and my white shorts, skirts, capris, pants….I love them. That bag is amazing btw!

I love white jeans ( even if I don’t have a pair at the moment!) In spring they are perfect with a t-shirt, or, for a more classic style, with a shirt and a blazer…they are very nice on you and the red bag is soooo cute!!

Since 1792? That’s some handbag-making bragging rights. You don’t need any suggestions from me… you have elegance and fabulous wardrobe nailed down completely. I love Ts. But boobage makes them problematic in my eyes on my bod. You, however, make me rethink that entirely. On my spring obsession list is good, light tees that will flatter and last for more than wash or two. I’m newly inspired, as always, when I stop by your place.
    Great jewelry!
    Fabulous photo!

I’m on the hunt for some non-see through closer fitting white jeans - because I agree! White jeans are just spring and summer to me!

You are too kind… and I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised by the price ($14!!) of the shirt and the amazing quality. I’m the same way about t-shirt and “boobage” as you put it.. which is why I prefer u-necks or v-necks. Wish I could wear those cute tight round-necks, but I’m loving these tees!!!

White is summer, right?! And a few warm days just have me itching for summer (but I’ve worn my white denim straight through winter!)

    Mmmmm, thanks for the tip!!

I added the fuzzy jacket for some interest and I’m trying to embrace patterns, but sometimes it’s just easy to stick to what we like, right?!

That, my dear, was the best compliment ever “without looking contrived”! Thank you!

You’ve been so fortunate with the weather, while we have suffered all winter long!! Lucky you - and I’d be wearing spring clothes and enjoying that sunshine and warmth!

Just happened on your blog and I love it! I have a grown daughter and we always share every fun thing that comes along - Food, fashion, books, travel etc. Your outfit is adorable. You are too. You and I dress exactly the same, down to the piles of bracelets. I am going for the bold lips this Spring, I just purchased a gorgeous Chanel deep pink/raspberry color lipstick. I love it! I have a new blog called http://www.advenuresofemptynesters.com - check it out if you have a minute!

Looking GOOD. OK I hardly have any T-shirts, but I do have fitted tops and tops like your blue one in this post. I don’t have any tips for jeans as I have a terribly expensive taste LOL.
