Mad for Plaid

I like party pants… a lot. I also am a very practical person, so I want something that can be dressed up or down. If I can throw on a gold tee or a sequined shirt with a bottom and call it a party outfit, then it’s going in my closet, if, and only if, I can also wear it with a dressed down tee and a pair of sneakers and run errands in it. That’s my lifestyle and, just like my curly hair, after 40-something years, I’m finally embracing both of them.

These pants and jacket/cardi fit the bill for both tasks (partying and errand-running) perfectly. So if you see me at either this season wearing either this season, you’ll know I speak the truth. And can I just say that these plaid pants bring back memories of a bygone punk era… is it because of the Project Runway season where plaid was the raison d’être for almost every designer? Is that what had me going mad for plaid when I saw these pants? Or was it the $33 price tag and the perfect fit? Whatever the reason, I think they are going to be a favorite this season for dressing down… and up!

Perfect print mix and takes a dare soul to do that (eerrr, that is saying in the most subtle way that I haven’t yes, haven’t even tried mixing print before) The jacket is a great piece for day and night and those booties.. what can I say.. you have great taste in footwear! :)

    Is it so terrible to pull up a blog post and sit back with a total WANT feeling? That’s exactly what I’m doing right now, love this entire outfit. Those plaid pants are going to take you everywhere. I’m mad for plaid this season also but haven’t found any pants for that look so great and at that price. Guess I’ll be sticking with the shirts. You look absolutely stunning.
