19 credits

CollegeChloe GordonComment

I’m back at college after a very very long winter break. Don’t get me wrong, I love a break from school, but I’m one of those people that loves learning and being around inspiring people and topics. School is where I thrive in a way.

This semester I’m taking 19 credits which is a little ridiculous and I will probably regret it once we actually start getting assignments, but for now I couldn’t be more excited. Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays I’m taking my core curriculum classes (social problems, writing, and stars and galaxies). They’re cool, don’t get me wrong, but they are pretty bland.

On the flip side, on Tuesdays and Thursdays I’m taking major based classes (concepts and creativity, branding strategies, and media, information, and technology). I can’t even begin to describe me excitement for these classes. My professors are the most inspiring people ever, in fact, my branding teacher lived in Milan for four years working on releasing Snickers. Um, hello perfection.

I was just sitting in my classes yesterday realizing how lucky I am to be in college. This is what it’s supposed to feel like. Like I’m surrounded by people with dreams, and goals, and perspectives. Like I’m learning a ton, but also having a lot of fun. Like I’m inspired. Like I’m home.

I can’t wait to see what the future holds, but for now I’m enjoying living in the now and seeing what I can gain from all of my amazing classes, all 19 credits of them.

Thanks for reading!

extrovert confessions

Chloe Gordon1 Comment

Winter break is winding down and I can proudly say I’ve done nothing during break. Well, I successfully watched five seasons of The Office if that counts for anything, but besides that, literally nothing.

It was nice to go to bed at 10pm and wake up at 10am, but I’m the epitome of an extrovert — someone who gets energy from being around other people. I was bored and feeling down, but in retrospect I’m glad I laid around all day, every day, for three weeks. It made me learn to appreciate the moments that I have with my friends even more.

Things as small as going on random coffee shop runs, walking through campus, or even just sitting around our dorm rooms talking about our days. I cherish each and every moment that I have when I’m around people.

When I first started writing this post I had every intention of making it a funny one, but as I started thinking about it more, I realized that I have cheesy feelings about people. I would apologize for the lack of comedy in this post, but, truthfully, I’m not sorry.

Moral of the story? Enjoy every moment you have with people you love!

best day of my life

FASHIONChloe Gordon1 Comment

This past Tuesday was the best day of my life.

At the glorious hour of 11o’clock a.m., I was informed that my math final later in the day was cancelled.

All because of some snow.

I found out while in a quiet study room, but didn’t hesitate to scream and dance and tear up when my friend shared the news with me.

It was seriously the best news I could have ever received in that specific moment in time. Everything was perfect. It was a literal blizzard outside, my math final was cancelled, the hot chocolate in the dining hall was on point, and my friends agreed to having a mini photo shoot outside our dorm.

I swear I’m at my most creative when I’m avoiding studying.

That being said, one of my friends took a few cute shots of me so I figured I should share them here. Because nothing says “blogger” like a post filled with narcissistic photos of yourself, am I right?

Kidding.

But not really.
