Lucky in Love

In case you might not have noticed (haha) we have a thing for hearts! ?With Valentine’s Day coming up, we thought of hearts and jewelry, which naturally reminded us of Vanessa Amalia, a name that might be familiar to you from our New York City Trip Guide for teens. We spotted her in the Union Square Market this fall and really and truly could have spent hours chatting with her.

Vanessa is a true artist, she designs and makes all the jewelry herself (order asap for Valentine’s Day!) in her Manhattan studio. Her favorite piece is the lucky horseshoe Kalinda wears on The Good Wife tv show. And she just loves designing her charms around a luck theme. It’s so hard to pick one favorite for Valentine’s Day, so we checked in with Vanessa for recommendations for a month long celebration of love.
