Buying a beauty product is like making a new friend. You hope that both bring out the best in you for a long, long time. Unlike making a new friend, there’s usually no “getting to know you” phase when it comes to beauty products: you either buy the product or you don’t. We have a long list of beauty relationship requirements (they should do what they say they will do, not smell too strong, be natural, and not get jealous when we make new beauty friends), so we usually just stick with what we know and love. Staying true to a friend is important, but in beauty, we are still searching for the best out there. ? Birchbox, a service that lets us sample new products from different beauty companies each month, sounded too good to be true… but it’s not.
How it works: Sign up for Birchbox and tell them a little about yourself. They’ll hand-pick samples for you each month and you’ll receive them beautifully boxed around the middle of the month (sort of like a monthly birthday present!). You pay $10/month (no shipping, no hidden fees) and you can opt-out of the monthly subscription, or cancel the service altogether.
We’ve had so much fun trying different products! Birchbox is our new beauty BFF, and we won’t be replacing her for a long, long time!
